## Biography

Betsy Thomas is an American television writer, producer and director. She began her career as a writer and story editor on the series *My So-Called Life* in 1994. She later wrote and directed the short film *Pam Flam & the Center of the Universe* (1998).

Thomas created and executive-produced the sitcoms *Run of the House* (2003–2004) and *My Boys* (2006–2010). She has directed episodes of series including *Superstore* (2016–2021), *Mom* (2013–2020), *The Carmichael Show* (2015), *Men at Work* (2012), *Night Court* (2023) and *Home Economics* (2021). She has also served as executive producer on *Whitney* (2011–2012) and other programmes.

Thomas was raised in Franklin, Michigan, and attended Detroit Country Day School. She is married to writer and actor Adrian Wenner.
