## Biography

Bill Dial (1943–2008) was an American television writer, producer and occasional actor. He wrote five episodes of the first season of *WKRP in Cincinnati* (1978–79), including 'Turkeys Away', and later served as a producer on the series. He also appeared in two episodes as the station engineer Bucky Dornster.

Dial wrote for *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* (1994), contributing the story and teleplay for 'The Alternate' and writing 'Tribunal'. He wrote an episode of *Star Trek: Voyager* (1995) and co-created the series *Legend* (1995) with Michael Piller. His other credits include writing and producing work on *Sliders* (1995–2000) and *The New WKRP in Cincinnati* (1991–93).
