## Biography

Bill Groom is an American production designer and art director. He began his career in New York in the late 1970s, working as an art director on *Saturday Night Live* before moving into feature films.

His film credits include production design on *A League of Their Own* (1992), *Milk* (2008), *Eat Pray Love* (2010) and art direction on *Awakenings* (1990). On television he has served as production designer on *Boardwalk Empire* (2010–2014), for which he won four Primetime Emmy Awards, and on *The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel* (2017–2023). He trained in theatre design at Tulane University.
