## Biography

Bill Ross is an American director, cinematographer and editor who frequently collaborates with his brother Turner Ross. Born in 1980 in Ohio, he began making documentaries with his sibling in the late 2000s.

Their debut feature *45365* (2009), a portrait of their hometown, won the SXSW Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature. Subsequent works include *Tchoupitoulas* (2012), *Western* (2015), *Contemporary Color* (2016) and *Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets* (2020). Ross also contributed cinematography to Raoul Peck’s *I Am Not Your Negro* (2016).
