## Biography

Billy Weber (born 5 June 1946) is an American film editor. One of his earliest credits was as associate editor (under the name William Weber) on Terrence Malick's *Badlands* (1973). He went on to edit Malick's *Days of Heaven* (1978).

Weber has collaborated repeatedly with Malick, editing *The Thin Red Line* (1998) and *The Tree of Life* (2011). His other credits include *Top Gun* (1986), *Days of Thunder* (1990) and *Beverly Hills Cop* (1984). He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Film Editing for *Top Gun* and for *The Thin Red Line*.

Weber directed the feature *Josh and S.A.M.* (1993).
