Blair Smith (also credited as James Blair Smith) was an American cinematographer active in the early years of the motion picture industry. He was born on 2 July 1859 in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

Smith worked primarily for the Edison Manufacturing Company, operating the camera on numerous short films. His credits include additional camera on *The Great Train Robbery* (1903) and camera work on titles such as *New York Harbor Police Boat Patrol Capturing Pirates* (1903) and several 1910 shorts including *Daddy's Double*, *St. Elmo* and *A 29-Cent Robbery*. He died before 1923.
