## Biography

Boaz Yakin is an American screenwriter, film director and producer based in New York City. He directed the sports drama *Remember the Titans* (2000) and wrote screenplays for *Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time* (2010), *Now You See Me* (2013) and *The Harder They Fall* (2021).

He studied filmmaking at the City College of New York and New York University. His early screenplays include *The Punisher* (1989) and *The Rookie* (1990). He made his directorial debut with *Fresh* (1994), which won the Filmmakers Trophy at Sundance, and followed it with *A Price Above Rubies* (1998).

Yakin has also directed *Uptown Girls* (2003), *Safe* (2012) and *Max* (2015). He served as executive producer on the first two films in the *Hostel* franchise.
