Bob Barr is an American attorney and politician. Born on 5 November 1948 in Iowa City, Iowa, he served as a federal prosecutor and as a Republican U.S. Representative for Georgia's 7th congressional district from 1995 to 2003.

Barr gained national prominence as one of the leaders of the impeachment of President Bill Clinton and authored the Defense of Marriage Act. He was the 2008 Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States.

He appears uncredited as himself in the 2006 film *Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan*.
