## Biography

Bob Charlton is a Jamaican actor. He is best known for playing the music producer Hilton in the 1972 film *The Harder They Come*. He also appeared in *Nymph* (1973) as Pat Armistead and *Detroit 9000* (1973).

Charlton was from St Catherine and attended Beckford and Smith High School (now St Jago High). He had a long career in the Jamaican insurance industry, founding the Caribbean Health insurance company. He never acted again after *The Harder They Come* and later moved to Toronto, Canada, where he died.
