## Biography

Bob Jaques is a Canadian-American animator, storyboard artist and director. He trained at Sheridan College and began his career in the 1970s, working as an animator on films including *Rock & Rule* (1983) and *The Care Bears Movie* (1985).

He is best known for his work as animation director on *The Ren & Stimpy Show* (1991–1993), for which he received two Primetime Emmy nominations, and later contributions to *SpongeBob SquarePants*. Jaques directed episodes of *Family Guy* (1999), *The Oblongs* (2001), *My Life as a Teenage Robot* (2002) and other series. He co-founded the animation studio Carbunkle Cartoons with his wife, animator Kelly Armstrong, to whom he has been married since 1989.
