## Biography

Bob Weiskopf (13 March 1914 – 20 February 2001) was an American television writer and producer. Born in Chicago, he began his career writing for radio programmes before moving into television in the 1950s.

He formed a long-term writing partnership with Bob Schiller. Together they contributed to *I Love Lucy* from its fifth season, *The Lucy Show*, *Maude* and *All in the Family*, for which Weiskopf received an Emmy Award in 1978 for the episode "Cousin Liz". Their other credits include *The Flip Wilson Show*, *The Carol Burnett Show* and *Archie Bunker's Place*.

The pair earned two Emmy Awards, Writers Guild of America awards and the Paddy Chayefsky Laurel Award for Television Achievement in 1988.
