## Biography

Bobby Herbeck is an American screenwriter, actor and producer. Born in Los Angeles in 1945, he began his career as an actor in television series during the 1970s and 1980s, with appearances in shows including M*A*S*H, CHiPs and Diff'rent Strokes. He also contributed as a writer to sitcoms such as The Jeffersons, Diff'rent Strokes and Small Wonder.

Herbeck originated the idea for a live-action film adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic and received story credit and shared screenplay credit (with Todd W. Langen) on the 1990 feature directed by Steve Barron. The film was the first cinematic version of the characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.

He later worked as co-producer on the 1998 comedy Wrongfully Accused.
