## Biography

Robert Moresco is an American screenwriter, producer, director and actor. He co-wrote the screenplay for the 2005 film *Crash* with Paul Haggis; the pair shared the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Moresco was also a co-producer on the film.

Born in New York City in 1951 and raised in the Hell’s Kitchen district of Manhattan, Moresco began his career in theatre before moving to Los Angeles in 1978. He has written for television series including *EZ Streets*, *Millennium* and *The Black Donnellys*. His other feature credits include writing and directing *10th & Wolf* (2006) and *Bent* (2018). In 2012 he received the Pioneer in Screenwriting Award at the Burbank International Film Festival.
