## Biography

Bobi Bartlett was a British costume designer. She trained at art school in Somerset and in fashion design at the Royal College of Art in London. After working in the fashion industry and running her own label, she joined the BBC around 1967 as a costume designer specialising in colour television techniques.

Her television credits include *Doctor Who* (1963), for which she designed costumes on 24 episodes between 1968 and 1971, including redesigns for the Cybermen and early UNIT uniforms. Other work encompassed episodes of *Z Cars*, *The Liver Birds*, *Sykes*, *Worzel Gummidge* (1979) and *1990* (1977). She later taught costume design, including at the University of the West of England.
