## Biography

Booth Colman was an American film, television and stage actor. Born in Portland, Oregon, he studied at the University of Washington and the University of Michigan, and served in the Japanese Language Division of U.S. Military Intelligence during the Second World War. He began his career on the New York stage, with Broadway appearances including Hamlet (1945), and made his film debut uncredited in The Big Sky (1952).

Colman appeared in dozens of television series, including Perry Mason, Frasier, Star Trek: Voyager and My Name Is Earl. In later years he frequently played older authority figures such as doctors and lawyers. His film credits include Norma Rae (1979) as Dr. Watson, The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) and Intolerable Cruelty (2003).
