Bradford Young is an American cinematographer. Born on 6 July 1977 in Louisville, Kentucky, he studied film at Howard University.

Young’s credits include *Pariah* (2011), *Selma* (2014), *A Most Violent Year* (2014), *Arrival* (2016), *Solo: A Star Wars Story* (2018) and the miniseries *When They See Us* (2019). For *Arrival* he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Cinematography, the first for an African-American in the category. He has also worked on the series *JAŸ-Z in 8* (2026).

Young joined the American Society of Cinematographers in 2014. He collaborates on projects under the name Ummah Chroma.
