## Biography

Bramwell Fletcher was an English stage, film and television actor. He made his stage debut in 1927 and his Broadway debut in 1929. His early film work included *Svengali* (1931) and a notable appearance as Ralph Norton in *The Mummy* (1932).

Fletcher appeared in *The Scarlet Pimpernel* (1934) and as Harrison in *Random Harvest* (1942). In 1943 he largely left films for theatre and television work. He created and performed the one-man show *The Bernard Shaw Story* in 1965. He was born on 20 February 1904 in Bradford, Yorkshire, and died on 22 June 1988 in Westmoreland, New Hampshire.
