Brandon Mychal Smith is an American actor and singer, born on 29 May 1989 in Los Angeles, California. He began acting as a child and gained early recognition for roles in films such as *Gridiron Gang* (2006) as Bug Wendal and *Get On Up* (2014) as Little Richard, as well as television appearances including *The Shield* (2002) and *Bones* (2005).

Smith is known for recurring roles on series including *Sonny with a Chance* (2009) and *So Random!* (2011) as Nico Harris, *Starstruck* (2010) as Stubby, and *You're the Worst* (2014–2019) as Sam Dresden. He voiced Michelangelo in the animated series *Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* (2018–2020) and its 2022 film. In 2007 he received a Family Television Award and a Young Artist Award for his performance in the television film *The Ron Clark Story* (2006).
