## Biography

Brandon Sonnier is an American writer, producer and director. He was born on 27 April 1982 in Houston, Texas.

Sonnier wrote, produced and directed the feature film *The Beat* (2003), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. He began his television career through NBCUniversal’s Writers on the Verge programme and worked on *The Blacklist* (2013–2017) as a writer, teleplay writer, story editor and producer. He has also written for *S.W.A.T.* (2017) and co-created *L.A.’s Finest* (2019) with Brandon Margolis, serving as writer and executive producer.

His other credits include writing and directing episodes of *Alert: Missing Persons Unit* (2023) and creating the series *Boston Blue* (2025).
