## Biography

Brenda Vaccaro is an American actress known for her work in film, television and theatre. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she studied acting at the Neighbourhood Playhouse School of the Theatre in New York and made her Broadway debut in 1961 in the play *Everybody Loves Opal*, for which she received a Theatre World Award.

She received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in *Jacqueline Susann's Once Is Not Enough* (1975) and a Golden Globe Award for the same role. Other notable film credits include *Midnight Cowboy* (1969). On television she has appeared in series such as *Friends* (1994) and *And Just Like That…* (2021), and voiced Kameyo in the animated film *Kubo and the Two Strings* (2016). She has also received Primetime Emmy and Tony Award nominations.
