## Biography

Brian Buckner is an American television writer and producer. He began his career on sitcoms, contributing as a writer and producer to *Spin City* (1996) and joining the writing staff of *Friends* (1994) in its later seasons, where he received story, teleplay and writing credits on multiple episodes.

He frequently collaborated with writing partner Sebastian Jones until 2005. Buckner later worked on the *Friends* spin-off *Joey* (2004) and other series including *The Class* (2006). He served as co-executive producer and writer on the HBO series *True Blood* (2008), becoming showrunner for its final seasons, and contributed episodes to *Fear the Walking Dead* (2015). He is an Emmy Award winner.
