## Biography

Brian H. Kim is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter based in Los Angeles. He studied music at Yale University and completed a film scoring programme at the University of Southern California.

He is known for his scores to the Disney animated series *Star vs. the Forces of Evil* (2015–2019), the TBS/HBO Max comedy *Search Party* (2016–2022), the films *Hello, My Name Is Doris* (2015) and *G.B.F.* (2014), and the Amazon series *Panic* (2021). Other credits include *Spoiler Alert* (2022), *My Life with the Walter Boys* (2023) and *Jentry Chau vs the Underworld* (2024), for which he received an Emmy nomination for the song “Flame”.

Earlier in his career Kim served as an assistant to composer John Swihart on projects including *How I Met Your Mother*. He has also worked as a songwriter and music director, and has recorded with artists such as Adele and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
