## Biography

Brian Marlow was an American writer active in theatre and film. He wrote several Broadway plays in the 1920s and early 1930s, including *The New Gallantry* (1925), *The Command to Love* (1927), *Anna* (1928), *Napi* (1931) and *Good Men and True* (1935). With Viña Delmar he co-wrote the play *Bad Girl* (1930).

In Hollywood Marlow worked as a screenwriter and contributor on more than thirty films, mainly in the 1930s. His credits include *Girls About Town* (1931), *Dancers in the Dark* (1932), *Supernatural* (1933), *The Preview Murder Mystery* (1936), *The Accusing Finger* (1936), *Unmarried* (1939) and *Among the Living* (1941). He also supplied the story for *Jumping Jacks* (1952). Marlow was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1893 and died in Woodland Hills, California, in 1949.
