## Biography

Brian Oliver (born 29 January 1971) is an American film producer and executive. He is the founder and CEO of New Republic Pictures and previously served as president of Cross Creek Pictures from 2009 to 2017.

Oliver holds a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley, where he played baseball, and a J.D. from Whittier College School of Law. He has produced films including *Black Swan* (2010), for which he received Academy Award and BAFTA Award nominations for Best Picture, *Legend* (2015), *Hacksaw Ridge* (2016), *American Made* (2017), *Rocketman* (2019) and *1917* (2019). He has also received Producers Guild of America nominations and other Golden Globe nominations for his work.
