## Biography

Brian Smedley-Aston is a British film editor, assistant director and producer. He began his career as an assistant editor in the early 1960s and worked as an editor on films including *The Loved One* (1965) and *Performance* (1970).

His editing credits also include *Girl Stroke Boy* (1971), *Symptoms* (1974), *Squirm* (1976), *Blue Sunshine* (1977) and the television miniseries *Holocaust* (1978). He won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Film Editing for *Holocaust*. He is the son of film producer Michael Smedley-Aston.
