Brian Vernel is a Scottish actor. He was born on 29 December 1990 in Glasgow and attended St Mungo's Academy before completing a one-year general arts foundation course at the University of Glasgow and training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Vernel is known for his roles as Bala-Tik in *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* (2015), Odda the Younger in *The Last Kingdom* (2015), Highlander 1 in *Dunkirk* (2017), Billy Wallace in the series *Gangs of London* (2020–), Curly in *Slow Horses* (2022), and Irus in *The Odyssey* (2026).
