## Biography

Brittani Nichols is an American writer, producer, actress and comedian. Born in Chicago, she attended Yale University before moving to Los Angeles after graduating in 2011. She created the web series Words With Girls and wrote, produced and starred in the 2016 feature Suicide Kale, which won the Audience Award for Best U.S. Dramatic Feature at Outfest.

Nichols has written for A Black Lady Sketch Show, Take My Wife, Strangers and Drop the Mic. She is a writer and producer on the ABC series Abbott Elementary (2021–), for which she has also directed episodes. She won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series for the episode "Student Transfer" and was part of the producing team nominated for Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2023 and 2024.
