Bronté Woodard was an American writer. He wrote the adapted screenplay for the 1978 musical film *Grease*.

Born in Alabama on 8 October 1940, he grew up in Georgia and attended Georgia State University. He also co-wrote the screenplay for the 1980 film *Can't Stop the Music* with Allan Carr and wrote the novel *Meet Me at the Melba*.

Woodard died in Los Angeles on 6 August 1980.
