## Biography

Bruce Kessler was an American film and television director. Born in Seattle, he began as a racing driver in the 1950s before retiring after several crashes. He transitioned to filmmaking with the short *The Sound of Speed* and worked as second unit director on Howard Hawks' *Red Line 7000* (1965).

Kessler directed feature films including *Angels from Hell* (1968), *Killers Three* (1968), *The Gay Deceivers* (1969) and *Simon, King of the Witches* (1971). He became a prolific television director, with credits on series such as *Mission: Impossible* (1966), *The Monkees*, *The Flying Nun*, *The Rockford Files*, *CHiPs*, *The A-Team*, *Knight Rider* and *MacGyver*. He retired from directing in the 1990s and died on 4 April 2024.
