## Biography

Bruce Sharman (1929–2022) was a British film producer and production manager. Born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, he began his career in theatre as an assistant stage manager before working as an assistant director on television series including *The Saint* and in films such as *She* (1965).

Sharman held production management roles on *Star Wars* (1977) and *The Empire Strikes Back* (1980), and later served as producer on Kenneth Branagh's *Henry V* (1989). He also worked as associate or executive producer on *The Dark Crystal* (1982), *The Great Muppet Caper* (1981) and *Return to Oz* (1985). He died in Rugby, Warwickshire.
