Bruno Nuytten is a French cinematographer and director. Born on 28 August 1945 in Melun, Seine-et-Marne, he trained at the INSAS film school in Belgium and the École Louis-Lumière in Paris.

He served as director of photography on films including *India Song* (1975), *The Best Way to Walk* (1976), *Possession* (1981), *So Long, Stooge* (1983), *Jean de Florette* (1986) and *Manon of the Spring* (1986). He later directed *Camille Claudel* (1988), for which he also wrote the screenplay; the film won the César Award for Best Film. He has taught at France's national film school La Fémis.
