Burt Sugarman is an American film and television producer. He was born on 4 January 1939 in Los Angeles, California.

Sugarman produced the films *Kiss Me Goodbye* (1982), *Extremities* (1986) and *Children of a Lesser God* (1986), and served as executive producer on *Crimes of the Heart* (1986). He created and produced the long-running music variety series *The Midnight Special* (1972–1981) and produced several game shows including *The Wizard of Odds* (1973–1974) and *Whew!* (1979–1980). He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for *Children of a Lesser God*.
