## Biography

Caleb Ranson is a British television writer and producer. Born in 1969 in Bristol, he has created and written numerous drama series and films, primarily for British broadcasters.

His credits include creating *Distant Shores* (2005–2008), *Night & Day* (2001–2003), *Daylight Robbery* (1999–2000) and co-creating *Around the World in 80 Days* (2021). He wrote a screenplay for *Midsomer Murders* (2016) and other works such as *Diamond Geezer* (2005–2007) and *First Light* (2010).

Before his writing career, Ranson worked in various roles including as a roadie and theatre usher. He has contributed to international productions and received an RTS Regional Award nomination for *Diamond Geezer*.
