## Biography

Caleb Sampson (1953–1998) was an American composer. He provided the score for Errol Morris's documentary *Fast, Cheap & Out of Control* (1997) and worked with Morris on other projects from 1995, including the television series Interrotron Stories.

His documentary credits include the films *My Father's Garden* (1995) and *Mr. Death: The Rise and Fall of Fred A. Leuchter, Jr.* (1999), as well as the television special *Mystery of the Last Tsar* (1997) and series such as NOVA and *The American Experience*. Sampson co-founded the Alloy Orchestra, which created original scores for silent films including *Metropolis* and *Nosferatu*, and he composed for Sesame Street from 1988.
