## Biography

Can is a German experimental rock band formed in Cologne around 1968. Originally known as Inner Space, the group became known as Can or The Can after American vocalist Malcolm Mooney joined. They are recognised as pioneers of the Krautrock genre.

Can composed music for several films, including the track 'Mother Sky' for Jerzy Skolimowski's *Deep End* (1970). Their soundtrack work also includes contributions to films by directors such as Wim Wenders and Samuel Fuller. The band released the compilation album *Soundtracks* in 1970, drawing from their film scores.
