## Biography

Carl Joos is a Belgian screenwriter. He has written for numerous Belgian television series, including *Cordon*, *In Vlaamse velden* and *The Spiral*, as well as feature films.

His film credits include the screenplays for *The Memory of a Killer* (2003, co-written with Erik Van Looy), *Dossier K.* (2009), *The Broken Circle Breakdown* (2012, co-written with Felix Van Groeningen), *The Treatment* (2014) and *WILL* (2023). He contributed an episode to the British series *Gangs of London* (2020).

Joos shared the Joseph Plateauprijs for Best Belgian Screenplay for *The Memory of a Killer* in 2004. He and Van Groeningen won Best Screenplay at the Tribeca Film Festival for *The Broken Circle Breakdown* in 2013.
