## Biography

Carla Caffé, also known as Carla Dias Caffé Alves, is a Brazilian architect and production designer. She trained at the Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo e de Design at the Universidade de São Paulo.

She worked as production designer on *Central Station* (1998), alongside Cássio Amarante. Other credits include art direction or production design on *Bossa Nova* (2000), *Narradores de Javé* (2003), *The Cambridge Squatter* (2016) and *Para Onde Voam as Feiticeiras* (2020), the last of which she also directed. She collaborated with her sister, director Eliane Caffé, on *Era o Hotel Cambridge* (2016).

Caffé has received awards including a 1993 Prêmio Folha for illustrations and a prize for opening credits on *Kenoma* at the 1998 Festival de Brasília. She has published books of drawings of São Paulo, including *Avenida Paulista* (2009).
