Carmen Cusack is an American actress and singer. Born on 25 April 1971 in Denver, Colorado, she trained at the University of North Texas before beginning her career in musical theatre.

She is known for playing Elphaba in productions of *Wicked* in Chicago, on the North American tour and in Melbourne. Cusack originated the role of Alice Murphy in the Broadway musical *Bright Star* (2016), for which she received a Tony Award nomination and a Theatre World Award, and played Clare Boothe Luce in *Flying Over Sunset* (2021), earning a second Tony nomination.

Her screen work includes the role of Margy Whitmer in *A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood* (2019) and Gilda in *American Fiction* (2023). She has been married to actor Paul Telfer since 2012.
