## Biography

Carmencita Johnson was an American actress, also credited as Carmen Robertson. Born in Los Angeles on 31 March 1923, she began her career as an infant in the Our Gang short films and appeared in bit parts in more than 70 films over nearly three decades.

As a child she was seen in silent features including *The Winning of Barbara Worth* (1926), *The Way of All Flesh* (1927), *The Wind* (1928) and *The Patriot* (1928). Later credits include uncredited roles in *Frankenstein* (1931), *Bride of Frankenstein* (1935), *These Three* (1936), *Duel in the Sun* (1946) and *Hollow Triumph* (1948). Her final screen appearance was an uncredited part in *A Place in the Sun* (1951). She was the sister of actor Dick Winslow.

Johnson married Jack Robertson in 1949 and retired from film work. She later became active in the arts community in Ojai, California, and died in Ventura on 26 September 2000.
