## Biography

Carol Ann Susi (1952–2014) was an American actress. She appeared in numerous film and television roles over a career spanning four decades, most notably providing the voice of the unseen Mrs Wolowitz on the series *The Big Bang Theory* (2007–2017).

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Susi studied acting at HB Studio in New York City before moving to Los Angeles in the 1970s. Her first screen appearances were as the recurring character Monique Marmelstein on *Kolchak: The Night Stalker* (1974–1975). She also worked extensively in theatre.

Other credits include *The Secret of My Success* (1987), *Death Becomes Her* (1992), *Just Go with It* (2011), *Grey's Anatomy* (2005), *Seinfeld* (1989) and *That '70s Show* (1998). Susi died of cancer in Los Angeles on 11 November 2014.
