Carol Barbee is an American television writer, producer and actress. Born Carol Denise Barbee on 22 May 1959 in Concord, North Carolina, she holds a BA from Wake Forest University and an MFA in acting from UCLA.

She began writing for television with *Providence* and contributed episodes to *Judging Amy* (1999), *Jericho* (2006), *Hawaii Five-0* (2010), *Falling Skies* (2011), *Touch* (2012), *UnREAL* (2015), *Dig* (2015), *Raising Dion* (2019) and *Dash & Lily* (2020). She has served as executive producer or showrunner on series including *Jericho*, *UnREAL* and *Raising Dion*, which she created. Barbee is married to actor Carlos Lacámara.
