## Biography

Carol Spier is a Canadian production designer and art director. She has worked extensively with director David Cronenberg, serving as art director or production designer on films including *The Brood* (1979), *Videodrome* (1983), *The Fly* (1986), *Dead Ringers* (1988), *Naked Lunch* (1991), *eXistenZ* (1999), *A History of Violence* (2005) and *Eastern Promises* (2007).

Spier has also collaborated with Guillermo del Toro on *Mimic* (1997), *Blade II* (2002) and *Pacific Rim* (2013). Her television credits include production design on the series *Black Mirror* (2017). She has received multiple Genie Awards for her work, including wins for *Dead Ringers*, *Naked Lunch* and *eXistenZ*.
