Carolina Giammetta is a British director and actress. She was born on 3 February 1970 in Nottingham and trained at drama school after being an inaugural member of the Central Junior Television Workshop. She made her screen debut as the Masseuse in Mike Leigh's *Naked* (1993).

Giammetta has directed numerous television dramas. Her credits include multiple episodes of *Doctors* (2016–2019) and *Casualty* (2017), feature-length episodes of *Vera*, the season opener of *Agatha Raisin* (2019), and episodes of *Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators* (2018). She directed the second season of *Suspect* (2024) for Channel 4, the second season of *Before We Die* (2023), and *Bookish* (2025). In February 2025 she was appointed Director of Drama at Eagle Eye Drama, where she develops and directs new projects.
