## Biography

Carolina Paiz is a television and film writer and producer. She began her screenwriting career with a writing credit on the series *Grey's Anatomy* in 2006. She has since written for series including *The Defenders* and *Orange Is the New Black*, and served in producing roles on *Narcos* and *Orange Is the New Black*.

Paiz grew up in Guatemala and studied English and Latin American Studies at Tulane University before moving to Los Angeles. She co-wrote and produced the 2010 Venezuelan feature *The Zero Hour* (La Hora Cero) with director Diego Velasco, her husband and frequent collaborator. She has developed projects including the thriller *The Whistler*.
