She played Retty in Roman Polanski's 1979 film *Tess*. Her other credits include the television series *Kids* (1979), in which she appeared as Jodie Turner, and the film *Flash Back* (1985). She had further roles in British television productions during the late 1970s and 1980s, such as episodes of *Crown Court* and the mini-series *Claire*.

Embling is retired from acting and works as an artist in Canada.
