## Biography

Cătălin Tolontan is a Romanian journalist and editor. He worked as a sports reporter and later as editor of publications including *ProSport* and *Gazeta Sporturilor*, where he led investigative reporting on sports and other topics.

Tolontan coordinated a team whose investigation into hospital infections following the 2015 Colectiv nightclub fire in Bucharest was featured in the 2019 documentary film *Collective*, directed by Alexander Nanau. He has since held editorial roles at *Libertatea* and, from 2024, as editorial director at *Hotnews.ro*.
