Caterina Scorsone is a Canadian actress. She is known for portraying neurosurgeon Dr. Amelia Shepherd on the ABC series *Grey's Anatomy* from 2010 onwards, as well as on its spin-offs *Private Practice* (2010–2013) and *Station 19* (2020–2024).

Scorsone was born in Toronto, Ontario. She attended the Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and studied at the University of Toronto, where she earned a degree in comparative literature and related subjects. Earlier roles include appearances in the Canadian series *Power Play* and the Lifetime series *Missing* (2003–2006), as well as the miniseries *Alice* (2009).
