## Biography

Catherine Tregenna is a British playwright, television screenwriter and former actress. She began her career as an actress, appearing in Welsh-language series including *Pobol y Cwm* and *Satellite City*. In 2001 she wrote the comedy play *Art and Guff*, after which she moved into television writing, co-creating *The Bench* and contributing to series such as *Casualty* and *Cowbois ac Injans*.

Tregenna wrote four episodes of the *Doctor Who* spin-off *Torchwood* (2006–2008): "Out of Time", "Captain Jack Harkness", "Meat" and "Adam". "Captain Jack Harkness" received a Hugo Award nomination. She later wrote the *Doctor Who* episode "The Woman Who Lived" (2015). Her other credits include multiple episodes of *Law & Order: UK*, *Lewis*, *DCI Banks*, *Stan Lee's Lucky Man*, *Riviera* and *The Watch*, as well as creating the 2024 series *The One That Got Away*.
