## Biography

Cecilia Parker was a Canadian-born American actress. Born in Fort William, Ontario, she moved to Los Angeles as a child and began her film career in the early 1930s as a contract player at MGM.

She appeared in dozens of films during the 1930s and 1940s, including an uncredited role in *Frankenstein* (1931), as Olga in *The Painted Veil* (1934) and as Julie in *Naughty Marietta* (1935). She was best known for portraying Marian Hardy, sister of Andy Hardy, in eleven films of the series from 1937 to 1942, and returned for *Andy Hardy Comes Home* (1958).

Parker married actor Robert Baldwin in 1938 and became a naturalised US citizen in 1940. After retiring from acting she worked in real estate in Ventura, California.
