## Biography

Chad Morton is a television writer. He was born and raised in New Castle, Delaware, and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he created and wrote the school’s first multi-camera Black sitcom, *G.R.I.T.S.* After graduation he moved to Los Angeles and worked his way up from production assistant to writer.

He is known for his work on the series *Abbott Elementary* (2021–), where he has served as writer’s assistant, staff writer and writer of individual episodes. He has also worked in the production department on *Night Court* (2023) and in production finance on the film *What Death Leaves Behind* (2018).
